What is a referral location?
Skindr has made agreements with physical practices, clinics and (university) hospitals to provide patients who still need to be seen physically an efficient appointment. This is often faster than the normal process because your skin problem has already been seen online by a dermatologist at Skindr.
Is the consultation included in the Skindr consultation after referral?
No, the Skindr dermatologists look at your photos and provide advice with a treatment plan. If necessary, all necessary documents are made available digitally. If your treatment plan requires a physical procedure, you will be referred to one of our locations. You pay separately for the physical procedure. If you cannot be helped online, you will receive a voucher.
How do I make an appointment at one of these locations?
We have agreements with these clinics that allow us to get you an appointment at the right time. The dermatologist will give you instructions during your consultation on how best to make an appointment and what information to provide.
What are physical consultations absolutely necessary for?
In 95% of cases, a dermatologist can provide advice based on photos. If the photos are inconclusive, the dermatologist will try to help you on your way to a solution. In that case, you will receive instructions on how to make a physical appointment. This appointment will include an indication of urgency so that our locations know how to schedule them.
Can all disorders be treated online?
95% of the disorders can be treated online. If you do need to be seen physically, the dermatologist will refer you to one of the locations that Skindr works with.
Can I be referred without an online consultation?
No, the Skindr dermatologists will assess whether you can be helped online or need to be seen physically based on your online consultation. In 95% of cases, the dermatologist can help you online with a diagnosis and personal treatment plan.
