In 2021, co-founder Jochen Boeykens went through a difficult journey in dermatology. Endless waiting times, no efficient pathway—until he ended up at the practice of Dr. Annelies Avermaete. They quickly agreed: dermatological care must be made as accessible and efficient as possible.

Born from practice

What began as frustration in the clinic grew into a shared mission: faster dermatological care. Today, Skindr is a team of certified dermatologists and doctors using technology to make care faster, more accessible, and more human. Always with the same goal: the right care, at the right time, for everyone.

A solution for the healthcare shortage

What started as an alternative to waiting times is now growing into a structural reinforcement of the care chain. While the current influx of doctors cannot compensate for the shortage, we continue to build our collaboration with healthcare providers supported by health insurers and partners. By referring patients with skin problems to Skindr, general practitioners are relieved. The result? More efficient care, shorter waiting times, and a solution that truly works.

Skindr’s technology makes skin care significantly more efficient. By collecting photos, questionnaires, and medical information digitally, the dermatologist immediately gets a complete picture of the skin problem. This enables the doctor to make a faster diagnosis and determine a treatment plan, making optimal use of time. An important step in structurally addressing the healthcare shortage.

Certified dermatologists behind every treatment

Behind every assessment stands a certified dermatologist who carefully analyzes the photos and medical information, makes a professional diagnosis, and draws up an appropriate treatment plan. All advice and documents are shared digitally, and if the patient has questions, they can easily continue chatting with the medical team. This keeps care fully doctor-driven, while the efficiency of the process helps reduce the pressure on the healthcare system.
